Dodge was originally founded in 1914. Dodge manufactures both automobiles and trucks and produces European and American cars, it has also previously manufactured Military vehicles used during WWI. Formerly known as the Dodge Brothers Motor Vehicle Company, the company was purchased by Chrysler in 1928: later merging with Daimler-Benz in 1998 to become DaimChrysler. The current Dodge Headquarters is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The corporation saw a drop in sales during the 70's but later saw a revival in sales during the 80s with the successful creation of several economy cars. Dodge's best success can be found in the manufacturing of the Caravan first created in 1984. Currently, Dodge is revered most for its trucks, which actually constitute almost 80 percent of sales annually. Dodge manufactures mid-price vehicles, muscle vehicles, performance cars, Pickups, sports cars, SUVs, vans, coupes, and sedans.
